Mission
Protota is a GNOME HIG-compliant mockup tool for Adwaita app UIs. It uses real
@gjsify/adwaita-web web components so
mockups look and behave like real Adwaita — not pixel replicas. Live at
https://tuna-os.github.io/protota/.
Current Status (August 2026)
- Active development (commits daily); Playwright E2E suite in place.
- Community health files landed (CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, SECURITY.md) — LICENSE still missing (tracked in #173).
- 9 open issues; the backlog is dominated by Adwaita-conformance refinements
(modals →
Adw.Dialog, shortcuts →Adw.ShortcutsDialog) and two flaky Playwright tests.
